The Reiki Way

After you have trained in Reiki, you will find that you can use it in all sorts of ways, both for yourself and others. This is the Reiki Way. Reiki is like a pure white or golden essence which flows where it is needed like the waters of a tumbling mountain stream. You can use it in whatever way you like, not only for your health but also for the way you deal with life. And it is often your attitude to life which decides how well you are. Too much stress can be a catalyst for illness, in all sorts of ways. On the other hand, a positive sunny disposition can help to keep you smiling with good health. The Reiki Way is using Reiki in whatever way it is needed to help you on your life’s journey and also in the helping of others on their journey, too.

Usui Sensei cultivated this beautiful Reiki system out of the revelation he received on Mount Kurama, the spiritual experience he had cultivated through life, and out of the love and compassion he had for mankind. He and Hayashi Sensei devised techniques to help you use the Reiki ever more effectively. These are all designed to introduce you to the Reiki Way. And the profound initiations you receive in your training will enable the Reiki to flow ever more effectively each time you call upon it. However, do make sure your teacher knows these techniques and also that he or she can trace his or her lineage back to Usui Sensei himself. This is in the tradition of Oriental healing.

We must always remember that we are responsible for our own health and the way we live life. No-one can live our lives for us. Through the Reiki Way and our own spiritual practice, Reiki can become our guide to opening up to the amazing love, light and power that we all have within us to take us through this wonderful opportunity that we call life. And, it can very simply complement whatever belief system we may have, provided we are open enough to receive it. Reiki challenges nothing; only we do that.
